What can graphic design reveal about law? A private view

In November 2014 I created an experimental series of 14 designs each expressing a perception or expectation of law, using just the word itself. The intention was to provoke and facilitate conversation –  about law, about design, about law and design – within academia and beyond.

I launched the draft designs via Twitter #apkLAWdesigns and this blog, and used feedback to generate captions.

Some of the designs were later used in seminar teaching on Critical Introduction to Law module at Kent Law School, and some are displayed in the reception area.

You can experience a private view of the designs in the above video.

For your own copy of the cards download the .pdf here, print on A4 and fold in the centre for image on one side, text on the other.
