Legal treasure

The Legal Treasure project (2012-2017) built on the premise that artefacts are a productive focal point for legal thinkers because of their ability to, among other things, peak curiosity, incite active and embodied engagement, facilitate debates, trigger ideas, serve as evidence and illustrate legal phenomena.

Legal treasure events were designed to bring people with legal interests into conversation with and through artefacts, with an emphasis placed on creating physically, socially and intellectually enabling environments in which creativity and interaction lead the way. A list of key events can be found here.

Amanda Perry-Kessaris launched the project at SOAS in 2012 and began to collaborate with Lisa Dickson and Sophie Vigneron in at Kent from 2014.
